Tottenham Hotspur hosts Chelsea at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in a game from the 5th round of the Premier League. Stay with us because we will take a look at this fixture in our free online soccer betting tips.

Tottenham Hotspur started the new season perfectly as they won their first three matches in the league, including against the champion Manchester City. Last weekend they suffered their first defeat, though. Spurs paid a visit to Crystal Palace and shockingly conceded a 0-3 loss at the Selhurst Park. Things got difficult for Tottenham in the 58th minute when Japhet Tanganga got sent off with a second yellow card. This gave Palace some serious boost, so they scored three goals in the last 15 minutes of the game. For Tottenham’s manager Nuno Santo it was really disappointing how his team crumbled in the last part of the match.

Japhet Tanganga is obviously suspended for this game, but Nuno Santo could make some additional changes in his line-up. Son-Heung Min missed the visit to Crystal Palace because of injury, but there are some hopes that he’d be ready to face Chelsea on Sunday. The Korean striker is working hard in the gym to get in fitness, so he could be an important addition to the squad. The same could be said about Eric Dier as well – he left the pitch against Palace after just 12 minutes, but he could be ready to face Chelsea.

Nuno Santo will have some South American boost for the derby against Chelsea. Davinson Sanchez, Cristian Romero and Giovani Lo Celso should be ready to return to the match squad. They were not available to face Crystal Palace which is why Spurs’ bench was really weak at the Selhurst Park. Romero and Lo Celso are currently not starting the games, but Davinson Sanchez is an important player for the team’s defense.

Tottenham’s biggest star Harry Kane is still waiting for his first Premier League goal for the 2021/22 season. The influential striker is going to be crucial for Spurs against the reigning European champions. His partnership with Son-Heung Min is really good, so Nuno Santo will hope to see the Korean international back in action.

The Brazilian right-back Emerson Royal made his official debut for Tottenham against Crystal Palace. The former Barcelona player played the whole 90 minutes at the Selhurst Park. The fans will expect a lot from him especially given the fact that he plays for Brazil, too.

The French midfielder Tanguy Ndombele is ready to make his first appearances in the Premier League for the season. The 24-years old recovered from his latest injury and he was in the squad for the previous game. Ndombele remained on the bench for the full 90 minutes, but he could one of the players to feature against Chelsea.

Chelsea approach this visit to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium from second place in the standings. The Blues have the same amount of points as the leader Manchester United – 10, but their goal difference puts them second at the moment. It’s really impressive, though – 9 goals scored and just one goal conceded in four matches played. Chelsea are doing very good in defense so far.

The European champions achieved their third win in the league last weekend. Thomas Tuchel’s team faced Aston Villa at the Stamford Bridge and dominated for a 3-0 win. Romelu Lukaku scored a brace for the Blues while Mateo Kovacic scored one as well. He also made an assist for Lukaku’s first goal.

During the week Chelsea opened their campaign in the Champions League as well. The Blues hosted Russian side Zenit and celebrated a 1-0 win. It was once again Romelu Lukaku who scored the winning goal in the second half. In this game Tuchel put Mason Mount and Hakim Ziyech close to the striker while Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic started in midfield.

N’Golo Kante could return in Chelsea’s squad for this visit to Tottenham. The influential French midfielder missed the last two games against Aston Villa and Zenit because of injury. He’s training with the team in Cobham, though, so he could make an appearance on Sunday. We all know how important Kante is for Chelsea. The manager won’t hesitate to use him if he’s completely healthy.

Christian Pulisic is another player who could eventually return against Tottenham. Just like Kante, Pulisic missed Chelsea’s last two matches. He’s usually an impact player so Tuchel would like to have him in the squad.

Romelu Lukaku’s season is going really well since his return to the Stamford Bridge. The Belgian striker kicked off his campaign with 4 goals in 4 matches played – that’s exactly what the fans want to see from him. Despite winning the Champions League last season, Chelsea missed a striker with his capabilities. It’s not a surprise that Timo Werner is barely playing since the arrival of Lukaku. Things will get really difficult for him now.

The last time when these two teams faced each other was in February at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Still coached by Jose Mourinho, Spurs suffered a 0-1 defeat from the hands of their local rival. It was Jorginho who scored the only goal in the game from a penalty kick.

Some might say that this game is a clash between Harry Kane and Romelu Lukaku – two of the best strikers in the league at the moment. That’s true, but this is not the whole game itself – many other factors (and players) could decide what’s about to happen.

That’s the free online soccer betting tips for the Premier League showdown between Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea. Both teams started the new season pretty well despite Spurs losing for a first time last weekend. It’s just one point that separates them at the moment. Maybe on paper Chelsea look a little bit better at the moment, but don’t forget that Tottenham already beat the champions Manchester City at home this season. Let’s see if Nuno Santo’s boys can forget about what happened against Crystal Palace last week.
